We are resetting the procurement process for the new digital Research Delivery Data & Intelligence (RDDI) platform to ensure future bids we receive will deliver fully against our goals. Based on valuable feedback from potential suppliers, we have terminated the current procurement process while we conduct a structured review.

The structured review is already underway and will validate and refine requirements, technical specifications and clarify data dependencies and implementation assumptions.

The goal of the Research Delivery Data & Intelligence (RDDI) programme remains unchanged and we are committed to delivering a platform that provides a comprehensive, accurate, real-time view of research that is happening across the NHS and wider health and care system.

The new platform will be implemented across all four UK nations to drive a joined-up, UK-wide approach. The introduction of this new system will enable better oversight, improved performance and faster, more effective research delivery across the UK. This includes supporting continued improvements in clinical trial set-up and delivery, including the government’s 150-day commitment.
