Commercial Research Delivery Centres (CRDC) UK Network supporting three flagship commercial obesity studies

The CRDC UK Network coordinated national site identification to efficiently mobilise three global obesity studies across the UK, and reach parallel first subject milestones.

CRDC: Leicestershire and Northamptonshire is the national lead site, coordinating UK set-up and supporting streamlined costing and contracting processes across participating NHS organisations. The CRDC team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust consented the first participant for one of the three obesity global clinical trials. The successful identification, screening, consenting and recruitment of this participant reflects the expertise and determination of the research delivery teams, supported by the invaluable national coordination across the CRDC UK Network.

Various CRDCs across primary and secondary care have also enrolled the first global participants in the three studies. This collaboration is ensuring broad national coverage and capacity for fast, reliable and consistent commercial trial delivery at scale.
