Be Part of Research Delivers Rapid Recruitment for Commercial Mental Health Study

Published September 8, 2026

A commercial mental health study led by Akrivia Health has demonstrated the speed and scalability of the UK’s digital recruitment infrastructure. The GlobalMinds study, which aims to enrol 50,000 participants across England and Wales to support future mental health diagnostics and treatments, paired a decentralised home-sampling model with targeted outreach via the NIHR Be Part of Research service.

By connecting with pre-consented volunteers registered on the platform, the study achieved 505 direct enrolments within four months from 25,101 targeted communications achieving a 2 per cent conversion rate.

Aligning directly with the UK Government’s Life Sciences Sector Plan ambitions to expand commercial trial participation, this delivery model highlights how national digital assets and central registry pathways offer commercial sponsors greater certainty and predictable delivery for large-scale research portfolios.
