Accelerating non-commercial research

The £42 million landmark TRANSFORM prostate cancer screening trial is the most ambitious of its kind in decades and successfully moved from regulatory submission to consenting its first participant in under 150 days.

Co-funded by Prostate Cancer UK and the NIHR, the trial’s rapid setup proves that the UK’s streamlined national pathways are also improving the speed and predictability for delivering large-scale, non-commercial research across the UK.
